Annual subscriptions. Article caps. No surprise fees.
Three published tiers. Prices on the page. Article caps anchored to realistic publishing volumes. Overflow billed in arrears at a fixed per-article rate. We display pricing openly because compliance buyers reward transparency, and because our entry tier is small enough to be a credit-card decision rather than a procurement event.
Prices in USD. Contracts in USD unless specifically negotiated. EUR, GBP, and INR equivalents available on request.

Above 400 articles per year, or multiple verticals?
Enterprise applies when published volume regularly exceeds the Premium cap, when you publish across multiple regulated verticals that need different reviewer pools, or when your editorial responsibility configuration is non-standard. Typical Enterprise customers run at 1,000 or more articles per year and need a dedicated pod of three to five reviewers assigned exclusively to their content.
Enterprise contracts include a custom procedure document, multi-framework bundles in any combination of EU AI Act Article 50(4), NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001 control mappings, custom turnaround SLAs, API access for content submission, white-label or co-branded verification pages, a dedicated success manager, and a quarterly executive review call. Pricing is negotiated per scope. We will say no if we cannot staff the volume.

What happens if you exceed your tier.
Each tier comes with an annual article cap. If you exceed it mid-year, review continues without interruption and overflow articles are billed monthly in arrears at the fixed per-article rate for your tier. We do not pause review at the cap. We do not gate the workflow. We do not surprise you with the bill.
You will hear from us at 75 percent of cap with a friendly heads-up and a projected end-of-year count. At 90 percent of cap we send a warning with the overflow rate and an upgrade option. At 100 percent we notify you that overflow billing has begun. Customers approaching their cap can upgrade to the next tier with prorated credit applied to the remaining months, which is usually cheaper than paying overflow.
| Tier | Cap | Overflow rate |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 60 articles per year | $50 per article above cap |
| Standard | 150 articles per year | $40 per article above cap |
| Premium | 400 articles per year | $30 per article above cap |
| Enterprise | Custom | Negotiated in contract |
After a contract ends, your compliance file is retained for three years. The first five retrieval requests per year are free. Beyond that, retrieval is $50 per request, or $250 for the full bundle. After three years the file moves to long-term archive for an additional seven years, with retrieval at $500 per request. We never charge for retrieval needed to respond to a regulator inquiry.
What is not included.
Compliance buyers reward honesty about scope. Here is what no Sygil tier includes, at any price.
- Legal advice. We are not a law firm. We document review processes, we do not opine on regulatory outcomes.
- Counsel-reviewed templates. Our procedure document and reviewer agreements are our standard templates. Your counsel is welcome to review them, and we will adjust within reason, but we do not stand behind them as legal opinions.
- Content writing or editorial revision. We review content. We do not author it. Tier 2 reviewers can suggest improvements but they do not rewrite for you.
- Translation services. Articles are reviewed in the language they are submitted in. Multi-language workflows are an Enterprise concern.
- SEO or marketing optimization. Our reviewers do not check for keyword density, link structure, or any other marketing concern.
- Audit defense. If a regulator opens a formal proceeding against you, you will need separate counsel. We will produce records and cooperate with the inquiry, but we do not represent you.
- Indemnification beyond the contractual liability cap. Limits are stated in the customer agreement and are typical for service contracts at our price point.
- Guarantees of regulatory outcomes. Nobody can promise this honestly. Anyone who does should worry you.
Pricing questions.
Why annual and not monthly?
The work we do is recurring and front-loaded: scoping, procedure customization, reviewer onboarding, and the first month of intake all happen in the first 30 days. Monthly billing would require us to charge a higher rate to cover the onboarding overhead, which is worse for everyone. Annual contracts also align with how compliance budgets are actually planned.
Can we upgrade mid-cycle?
Yes. Customers exceeding their cap can upgrade to the next tier at any time with prorated credit applied. The math typically works out cheaper than paying overflow if you are more than two months from renewal. We will run the comparison for you when you cross 75 percent of cap.
Do you do custom contracts?
Inside the published tiers, no. The tier features are the tier features. Outside the published tiers, yes: that is what Enterprise is for. If you need a non-standard editorial responsibility configuration, a multi-framework bundle, a dedicated reviewer pod, or volume above 400 articles per year, we negotiate a custom scope and a custom price.
Are there volume discounts?
Not on the website. Multi-year prepayment may unlock a small discount in conversation, and the first cohort of customers receives a founding-customer rate. We do not advertise discounts because hidden discounting erodes trust with the buyers we want.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer is the default: SEPA for EU customers, wire for US and UK customers, local rails for India. Card payment is available for Starter through a payment processor. Crypto payment is available on request for customers who prefer it. We do not use third-party debt collection and we do not use predatory dunning workflows.
